"World Defense Show 2024" technology transfer to Saudi Arabia

Ramsa Defense will be a partner in a 120 million dollar investment in Saudi Arabia through technology transfer.




According to the information received by the AA correspondent, a new one has been added to the business relations and investment opportunities that Turkish defense industry companies have recently developed in the Gulf countries.

Ramsa Defense clarified its investment in Saudi Arabia at the World Defense Show held in Riyadh.


Accordingly, Ramsa Defense reached an agreement with the Saudi Arabian company ACMI (Arms Company for Military Industries) for investment. In line with the agreement covering technology transfer, Ramsa Defense will complete the technology transfer for approximately 20 products in its portfolio within an 8-month period. It is aimed to start product deliveries at the end of approximately 1.5 years.

Products include unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), unmanned ground vehicle (UAV), Eskelot Weapon Transport System, kamikaze drone, Hakan hybrid guard security tower, bomb launcher drone, aircraft test benches, ultrasonic weapon cleaning system. There are a number of solutions such as.


With the technology transfer, it is aimed for Ramsa Defense to become one of the important players in the Saudi Arabian market.

Apart from technology transfer, the parties will jointly develop armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UCAV).





An investment of 120 million dollars in two stages

Ramsa Defense and ACMI will be partners in the two-stage investment in Saudi Arabia. Firstly, the factory will be established on an area of ​​50 thousand square meters in the city of Jeddah. UAV, UCAV, UAV and minicopter production will be carried out in this facility. The facility, whose investment amount will be 70 million dollars, will be put into service in the first quarter of 2025.




In the second stage, another factory with an area of ​​50 thousand square meters will be opened in Riyadh. An investment of 50 million dollars is planned for this place in the first stage.

The total size of Ramsa Defense's investment in Saudi Arabia will reach 120 million dollars.

In his statement to the AA correspondent, Turalı Group Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ramazan Güçikturalı, said that in the defense industry, in line with the vision of the Presidency of Defense Industries, he founded Ramsa Defense in 2016 in order to develop and produce domestic and national high-tech products and subsystems for the Turkish Armed Forces and other security forces. Stating that they have undertaken various responsibilities with the solutions they have put forward in the past period, Güçlükturalı stated that at this stage, they are focusing on foreign exchange earning activities by expanding abroad with these capabilities.


Stating that the investment in Saudi Arabia is very important for them and the Turkish defense industry to become even stronger in international markets, Güçlükturalı said, "With the value proposition we have, we are the center of attention of our international partners in many fields such as R&D, design, production, logistics, training and management." "With this investment, we are opening Turalı Group's first production base in Saudi Arabia.
